With just over a week until we move into the house, we’re busy trying to finish as much as we can. We had some help this week from a bunch of people, including Handyman Superstar Challenge winner Jason Best! Jason and Chris came by to help with doors and trim:
Here are a few of the things we’ve been working on this week:
We’ve installed all the baseboards, door trim and window trim on the second floor.
We’ve hung most of the doors.
We’ve finished painting the stair risers and railing spindles white.
We ordered California shutters for the master bedroom and living room windows.
We’ve moved everything off of the main floor and into the basement so that we can lay the hardwood floor this week.
There is still lots to do, so we’ll be busy scrambling to finish up this week. We did get some good news about our kitchen though. It arrived in Prince Rupert, B.C. and is about to enjoy a train ride across the country. We expect it to arrive the same week we move in, so hopefully we won’t have to live without a kitchen for very long!

That's fantastic - you're in the home stretch now! And how lucky are you to have such handy help.
Woo Hoo ... practically home! It is looking fabulous. I also love the the front entry without the green.
I'm excited to see that kitchen!
You must be so excited! Sounds like all of your hard work is about to pay off :).
